Jude is my dream man.I had so many expectations going into this book and every single one of them was met or exceeded. I did not anticipate the time lapse but I enjoyed it immensely because I felt like it added so much to the story and the grovel.I absolutely adore Tanner and what he brings to the table in the harem. I also not so quietly screamed when you realize that in the time lapse Savvy has gained a dog and that is everything for me as a dog mom. Mo is a literal hero and I literally died anytime he was mentioned.I am probably in the minority here but I'm so grateful that the bad guy was in fact not Mark😂 I really wanted Savvy to have someone that loved her unconditionally the entire time and while that may have been drawn into question it was not in fact true.I am so glad that Vanessa got hers in the end because obviously she was crazy and a crazy good actress that could fool someone like Jude into thinking that she was telling the truth. In terms of the men folk, I absolutely loved Jude the entire time. That was never a question. I love Beck as a dad and as a teddy bear who feels so insanely guilty and unworthy of Savvy. Ash had always been someone I felt the connection to but not necessarily the affection some people did though I do feel he earned her in the end. And, of course, then there's Tate. In reality he was probably my least favorite harem member but I also feel like that's just because I wasn't a fan of how he treated Savvy in the first book and he just continually messed up even when he grows and makes his come back I still felt like he was a soft person and those just arent my personal type. Burn Butterfly Burn: A Masked Novel (Masked Duet) Online eBook pdf epub I enjoyed this book and I for the most part really love the characters. It is well written for an RH (don’t get me wrong, I love the concept of RH but more often than not the books feel like fan fiction and character development and depth is usually sorely neglected) and certain parts of the plot managed to surprise me.The loss of the star was because I felt like the time apart and the denial dragged on too long. It got a little irritating. She just wanted to bury her head in the sand and ignore stuff so often that I found myself wondering what they even saw in her at that point. She just wasn’t who she used to be anymore, and it had me questioning how well they would even fit together as a group after so many years. Jude was the only real saving grace there, because I am honestly not sure if I would have stuck through it without him. He is a great character and I need more with his single-minded obsession and exuberance. The story could have definitely used more time to get to know the characters as their older selves and reestablish a new dynamic. It could have used some forced proximity sooner.I also think Beck and Ash faded into the background too much. I think the story and relationship would have functioned just as well, perhaps even better, without them. They just didn’t chase her with anywhere near the determination of the other two and at once point I thought the author had forgotten about them.Overall it is definitely one of the better written RH stories and I like that it didn’t drag on through multiple books. My attention span just can’t handle more than three or so, because there is so much out there to read and so little time. PDF Burn Butterfly Burn: A Masked Novel (Masked Duet) epub online This is my first read from the author. The book started very well; it kept me interested and curious to find out more about the characters. The characters were not too dull, although I felt, at times, the reading was a little tedious. However, the main female character Savannah was described at the beginning as weak and meek by the author; I thought she was not too weak but resilient. Savvy is wearing a mask, and dancing is the only way she truly finds herself, a girl feeling liberated from her awkward, repressed, and inhibited personality. Savvy thinks that finally, at college, she can come out of hiding, let go of the mask, and grow into the woman that she wants to be. But that is not what happens, and she continues to wear a mask. The mask is some sort of protective blanket for Savvy, where she can hide her true self without being a target or getting hurt.I liked how protective she is of the men in her life and how devasted she is when Jude, Beck, Ash, and Tate do not believe in her. A doubt that lasted a second from the men in her life destroyed the building of a long-lasting, loving relationship and trust. Savvy takes control of her life by ghosting everyone who has betrayed her. It is this breaking point of betrayal that Savannah believes she needs to take over and fulfill the role of an heiress. Savvy does not need and wants love and family, although always dreamed of having a loving family. She decides to give up her dream and wear a different mask for the public and the media. She keeps everyone at a distance. In the second book, I did not enjoy it as much as the first book. I thought it was a more tedious read. Savvy was described as a stubborn woman and unreasonable. It took five years for Savvy to read the text messages, gifts, and letters sent throughout the years from the four men. They all never got closure of what went on that fatal night. The four men, after five years, finally decide to do something about it. As I mentioned, I did not enjoy the second installment. It was tedious to read. The author described Savvy as highly stubborn. I see her unreasonable inflexibility; I view it as being silly and immature. There was a lot of contradiction in the storyline. For example, she kept five years of text messages not read and not wanting to talk to them. Why keep the text message and not block the men if she did not want anything from them? The author explains the why, but as a reader, it was not convincing and more of a silly excuse. If Savvy did not want anything to do with the four men, she would have deleted the text messages and moved on with her life. Keeping text messages for five years and not reading is a big temptation, at least for me. However, the second book is about restoring the relationship with the four men. There is a minor plot development and the revelation of her great enemy. The storyline could have been more meaningful if the author had written less about Savy being stubborn in listening to the four men and writing more about how they restored and built their relationship. I felt like one day, she did not want them, and then suddenly, she wanted them back. Overall not a too-bad storyline. However, it is not a WOW storyline or a book I would reread. ePUB Burn Butterfly Burn: A Masked Novel (Masked Duet) prenota online Downloads (PDF) Burn Butterfly Burn: A Masked Novel (Masked Duet)
